German - Now Available

Welcome back! This week, German will be our newest addition to our language roster. Information about the German dub was very hard to come by. There hasn’t been any sort of video that has surfaced online yet, though we do have most of the VHS covers that were released back in the 1980's.

I reached out to the staff members of the website Zeichentrickserien.de, and they were kind enough to give us higher quality photos of the German VHS covers.

I was honestly surprised and delighted to see full scans of two of the covers (Toppic no. 2 and no. 6). I thank them for giving us a closer look at these rare tapes. 

Look at the effort put on these covers. Bursting with color!

Similarly to the show’s English release, Germany got the first six episodes on VHS and nothing more. They are the only country to receive tapes that included just a single episode each (which is a pretty short runtime!).
