Introduction Post
This is it! I gladly welcome everyone to Fellers’ Frontier! Both the website and this blog have opened on the same day. We will primarily be focused on the 1970’s Japanese adaptation of Little Lulu. It took quite a lot of time and effort to bring this whole thing in fruition. I should introduce myself upon how it started in the first place.
I didn’t know anything about Little Lulu until I stumbled upon “The Toon Treasury of Classic Children's Comics” in the public library, back in 2015. The vibrant full-color panels and the sheer amount of comic pages grasped my attention, with many titles I haven’t heard before.
This was my first exposure to Little Lulu, with the book containing a few of John Stanley’s brilliant stories. I decided to hold a few more books from the public library, all which were published by Dark Horse.
I eventually came to find out that there was a rare anime adaptation of Little Lulu around 2016. At the time, user ‘Fogelogel’ had the first six episodes of the English dub on Youtube. I watched every single one of them. I soon managed to save all of the episodes for myself. Sometime later, Fogelogel’s channel was gone from YouTube for unknown reasons.
I didn’t know at the time how I would bring these episodes back on the internet. Since I was busy, I didn’t think much of reuploading them. It was until I saw ToonrificTariq’s review of the Little Lulu show, mentioning how none of the English episodes were available online.
Anyways, since I realized how little information there was about the rare anime, I decided to take a few months to create this website + blog as a project. I’m not experienced at all with web design and coding, but I tried to learn as much I could while building this site. I also became inspired by other fansites, both old and new.
While I’m not happy about every aspect, I’m satisfied enough at the moment about how it turned out. What you see on the site right now isn’t everything. More content will be added soon over a period of time. Thank you if you have read this far and I hope to see you later!
